Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein
● Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in a German Jewish family.
● His father Hermann Einstein was an engineer and salesman, while his mother's name was Pauline Einstein.
● In 1880 AD, his family moved to the city of Munich.
● In 1895 AD, at the age of 16, Einstein took the entrance examination of the Swiss Federal Polytechnic, Zurich, later known as Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH).
● He failed to get enough marks in all other subjects except Physics and Mathematics and finally went to the Argovian Cantonal School, Aaru, Switzerland on the advice of the Principal of the Polytechnic.
● Quantum Theory of Light - In Einstein's quantum theory of light, he created a small bag of energy called 'photon'. In his theory, he explained the emission of electrons from some metals. He discovered the photo electric effect.
● Brownian Movement – This was one of the biggest discovery of Albert Einstein, where he observed zigzag movement in suspension of atoms, which is helpful in proving the existence of molecules and atoms.
● Special Theory of Relativity – In this theory of Albert Einstein, the relation between time and speed has been explained. The speed of light in the universe has been described as continuous and according to the law of nature.
● In the year 1905, at the age of 26, he propounded the theory of relativity and he wrote only four articles on this subject and Einstein received the world famous Nobel Prize for his discovery.
● Albert Einstein died on April 18, 1955 in Britain.
